Director of UX & Product Design

Hi, I’m Ryan.

A seasoned Director of Product Design with a passion for creating dynamic digital experiences in the sports industry. With a diverse background that spans agencies, startups, and large corporations, my journey in design has been both rich and eclectic.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of leading design projects across various platforms including websites, mobile apps, kiosks, Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR). My approach combines a deep understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, ensuring that each product is not only visually appealing but also intuitively functional.

Currently, I’m at the helm of a talented team of UX and UI designers at Fantasy. Here, I’ve had the exciting opportunity to work closely with Nike, developing a visionary approach for the Jordan brand, and with Amazon, crafting the future of sports experiences. These projects highlight my commitment to pushing the boundaries of digital product design within the sports sector.

My previous roles at AKQA, Framebridge, and Marriott allowed me to refine my skills and lead teams to achieve groundbreaking results. This journey has taught me the importance of innovative design thinking, collaborative teamwork, and staying ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

I invite you to explore my portfolio, where you'll find a showcase of my work that blends creativity, technology, and a deep love for sports.

Good Design

Form follows function. You must understand your audience, their motivations, context, as well as the business and medium in which you’re interacting with them. From there, good design is finding the best form of communication and/or interface to meet the goal.

In everything I’m a part of, I strive for simplicity. Whether that’s designing a new retail model, a product design system, or the cover of a cell phone bill, I distill the design down to its most basic essence and arrive at a purity that speaks clearly to the user.

But what we do is a business, and I appreciate and recognize the constraints that come with it – time, budget, resources, technology, and more.

When you hire me, you’re getting a well-rounded, dedicated teammate who leads teams in creating good design, on time.
