Leading an all-new app design for the largest hotel company in the world

With over 30 brands and 7,000 properties, across 131 countries, Marriott International is the largest hotel company in the world. As Director of User Experience, I lead a great team of product designers in creating an all-new experience for their flagship mobile app.

A bridge between the external agency and internal design team.

I played many roles throughout the project timeline. In the beginning, I helped direct an outstanding external creative agency through the concepting phase of the project – funneling feedback, making decisions, refining ideas.

Once approved, I helped take the concept from vision to reality – spinning up a large team of multi-disciplined creatives (writers, UX designer, visual designer, motion designers, etc.). We worked closely with fellow product and engineering teams, working in a sprint-based agile framework to get it all done.
